inner-zoo (don’t know what to do)
it’s like a flood while in an ark
two by two except it’s not
don’t know what to do
inner-zoo (don’t know what to do)
barely finite labyrinth of cages
all meet in a Victorian courtyard
with yucca plants and designer stones
it’s fair-game for flaunting of some sort of prowl
but it’s useless to growl

wild fowl natural
to the area are off limits
so I watch the tv
football blitz to get my kicks
in my inner zoo (don’t know what to do)
passive aggressive
I’ve said too much
animal crutch
turn on the lush
food for the young
future dung
toxic lung
down another rung
hides both the truth and the lies
while appearing wild

no refunds, no complaints, or no remittance, ever

if I severed the seven levers that keep my brain under wraps
I’d be the legendary character in someone’s dream
escaping this one to be a flash in that one

I’d be willing to pay someone for the surgery
to get the razor wire electric fence
out of my ambulance
and then I’ll turn the key
and speed to the vet
I’d be willing to bet
that the vet would have no ethical dilemma
about working on me
once I wake up from this dream
